Describe your expertise: • Strategic planning and development of collaborative partnerships and grants with medical specialty societies, academic institutions, and medical education companies for educational initiatives that utilize the gamification and simulation platforms. • Grant identification and development for medical education learning initiatives that are fully compliant with all Criteria, Essentials and Standards of Commercial Support of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME). • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with key medical specialty societies/academic institutions/companies, as well as faculty recruitment and development in the areas of gastroenterology, airway (critical care and trauma), pulmonology and interventional cardiology.
Brief biography: Kimberly Vadas, MABMH, CHCP consults in a broad variety of areas; including medical writing, educational strategies and grants development. While in Chicago, she was at the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) where she was the Senior Manager, Accreditation and Compliance, while also being the lead grant writer for the organization. Prior to that she was at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) as Manager, Healthcare Continuing Education, as well as at the American College of Surgeons (ACS) as Senior Manager, Skills and Experiential Learning courses. She has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry; including overseeing various types of wet labs, use of simulation in CME/CPD, and developing assessment tools to support the verification of knowledge and skills for courses, as well as the evaluation of the impact of the courses on surgical performance and patient care outcomes, amongst others. In her prior roles, she provided senior managerial-level support for the entire portfolio of skills and experiential learning courses in the Division of Education, the development of new skills courses and tracks, and grant writing in collaboration with the ACS and ASCO Foundations to identify funding sources for educational grant support of course programming. Additionally she managed the accreditation process, needs assessments and transition to Joint Accreditation at ASCO.
