| Describe your expertise: | My strength lies in my ability to both understand the science and communicate it effectively. Having worked with a variety of continuing medical education providers/professional organizations, I am very cognizant of the different needs of my clients. Although my areas of expertise include molecular pathology of cancer, oncology, and drug discovery, I have published on a broad range of medical topics and therapeutic areas. The medical writing services I provide include content development for online or live educational activities, needs assessments, online education modules, outcomes assessment (test questions), and review articles. I truly enjoy working in collaborative teams and have built solid relationships with my clients, many of whom I have been working with for years. |
| Brief biography: | After receiving my PhD from Case Western Reserve University on aberrant signal transduction pathways that contribute to oncogenesis, I initially followed an academic path focusing on the molecular pathology of cancer. Eventually, I moved to a small drug discovery company, establishing their biology division, and honing my skills as an effective medical writer. I started my own independent medical writing business 10 years ago and focus on continuing education-- writing needs assessments, developing content for educational activities, putting together online enduring modules, case-based studies, slide decks, review articles, and writing assessment questions on a broad range of medical topics and therapeutic areas. I am also a mother to 2 teenagers, one a freshman in college and the other a freshman in high school. Living in the Pacific Northwest, I am an avid hiker, backpacker, and amateur photographer. |
