Describe your expertise: I provide content development for live and enduring CME activities which includes needs assessments, slide decks for live and enduring educational modules, scripts for video animations and podcasts as part of the educational content, and outcome assessment questions. Having worked with a variety of continuing medical education providers/professional organizations, I am very cognizant of the different needs of my clients. Although my areas of expertise include molecular pathology of cancer, oncology, and drug discovery, I have experience on a broad range of medical topics and therapeutic areas. I truly enjoy working in collaborative teams and have built solid relationships with my clients, many of whom I have been working with for years.
Brief biography: After receiving my PhD from Case Western Reserve University on aberrant signal transduction pathways that contribute to oncogenesis, I initially followed an academic path focusing on the molecular pathology of cancer. Eventually, I moved to a small drug discovery company, establishing their biology division, and honing my skills as an effective medical writer. I started my own independent medical writing business 14 years ago and focus solely on continuing education (CME/CPD) content -- writing needs assessments, developing content for educational activities (live and enduring), creating case-based content, and writing outcome assessment questions. I am a mother to 2 good humans and 1 amazing golden retriever. Living in the Pacific Northwest, I am an avid hiker, backpacker, and amateur photographer.
