BA in sociology; MEd in counseling psychology; PhD in adult learning. 45+ years of experience in developing, implementing and evaluating CME/CPD activities and 30+ years experience in managing and leading organizations involved in CME/CPD--hospitals, medical schools; specialty societies; and professional educational institutions. Also, 30+years as a consultant to over 300 organizations involved in our profession and a leader within the Alliance. Have also served as a mentor and advisor to many other colleagues in CME/CPD leadership roles. |

Senior VP for Professional Development and Chief Learning Officer at the American College of Cardiology; Associate Dean of CME at Duke University School of Medicine; Director of CME and VP for Educational Affairs at Sharp Healthcare; Senior Staff Associate of the Association of American Medical Colleges; Co-Director of the VA's InterWest Regional Medical Education Center; and 30+ years as the Founder and President of Professional Resource Network, Inc. (prn). Served for 12 years on the Alliance Board or Directors and 2 years as President. Spent 7 years as a member of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education. Also, served as Editor and author of 2 books and multiple journal articles and book chapters on CE in the health professions, along with many formal presentations to the CME/CPD community on needs assessment, strategic planning, educational outcomes, use of guidelines , backwards planning and the future of CPD |
