Through his 25 years in medical education, he emphasizes practicality through the development of standard processes allowing CE offices to comply with ACCME/JA requirements with an emphasis on the attainment of the coveted accreditation with commendation. Mr. Passin's background as a former ACCME surveyor ensures his familiarity with the thresholds set by them for compliance. He was former deputy health secretary for the State of California and holds a bachelor's degree from the University of California at Berkeley and has completed his course work for a master's degree in public policy administration from the University of Southern California. Mr. Passin also holds a certificate in health care marketing from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Passin is an author of periodic columns in the virtual edition of Medical Meetings Magazine on contemporary issues in CE. He is a national expert on the regulatory aspects of continuing medical education and the application of OIG and PhRMA rules to the pharmaceutical industry. |
