I am the principal of Precise Medical Writing and specialize in developing high-quality evidence-based continuing medical education (CME) programs in oncology, rheumatology, and gastroenterology. My specific CME experience includes acting as the Scientific Director on CME satellite symposia and grand rounds programs, including leading calls with KOLs, preparing slide decks (including ARS questions), interactive case studies, pretests and posttests, and enduring materials; preparing online and virtual programs; and writing needs assessments. I have developed programs on acute myeloid leukemia, bladder cancer, gastric cancer, lung cancer, melanoma, renal cancer, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including biologic therapies, biosimilars, targeted therapies, and immunotherapies. I have written needs assessments on a variety of oncology topics; rheumatology topics, including ankylosing spondylitis, gout, psoriatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, and spondyloarthritis; and gastroenterology topics, including IBS and IBD. |
| Brief biography: |
I received a PhD in Cancer Biology from Vanderbilt University in 2010. My PhD research included general oncology, colorectal cancer, and inflammatory bowel diseases. Since receiving my PhD in 2010, I have specialized in continuing medical education. I am passionate about working collaboratively to effectively communicate medical and scientific data to a physician audience. I have partnered with continuing medical education companies and medical specialty societies and associations to develop award-winning programs. I am an active member of both the Alliance for Continuing Education in the health professions and the American Medical Writers Association (AMWA). I have previously served as the President and Treasurer for the Southeast Chapter of AMWA, and I am currently on the Budget and Finance Committee for AMWA. |
